The Hype is that they are amazing!!!
Its a shame no Radio station around Hali will really play them...since all the radio stations are either pop/hip hop or Classic rock![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
I only heard of Arcade Fire by listening to the CBC.

So far I've listened to the first (Funeral) and second (Neon Bible) albums. Like the second one a lot more.drew wrote:The Hype is that they are amazing!!!

Will listen to The Suburbs later today or tomorrow. I really need 3-4 spins before I can make a real decision on whether I like an album and what tracks I enjoy. "Keep The Car Running" stands out so far.

I've just bought Bad Religion's album from last year, The Dissent of Man. First impressions are that it continues their downward slide. After Brett Gurewitz left in the mid-90s, each album was a step down from the last. Then, just as I thought it was all over for BR, Brett rejoined and they recorded the spectacular The Process of Belief, which actually excited me just by listening to it. The next album after that was definitely inferior, though decent enough; the one after that had some good songs, but just as many forgettable ones.
So we come to the new(est) album. Four or five good songs. Ten or so bland, nondescript and utterly forgettable ones. It might grow on me but I'm not holding my breath.
At their best, Bad Religion are my favourite band. This is not their best.

Haven't listened to anything else than Johnny Cash since Sep last year. I've always loved the man in black and I always had phases in my life where I listened to his songs a lot - but this time it's different. I can't listen to anything else. I eve bought a Cash karaoke CD for the car ... :s
