i enjoyed the game at a local sports bar. had many draught beers (8) and some fine bar food. so i missed what seems to have been some awful halftime "entertainment."

It really did suck--did Usher really sing or just jump around? And didn't Christina mangle at least two verses of the National Anthem? Even the commercials stank--at least it was a competitive game...

Usher was there. I don't know about Slash. I only listened to about a minute at the beginning, and a minute at the end. I knew nothing about the Black Eyed Peas, except the girl was supposed to be really pretty and really talented. She looked ok, but the whole group sucked. Anyway, I muted the damn thing, and used the middle 12 or so minutes to clean up my living room. The choreography looked pretty lame to me, and what singing I heard sounded pretty lame, uninspired, mailed in, etc. I'm sure youtube has the thing, but I saw enough of it Sunday night, thank you very much.

our son says he believes they at least partially used tapes that were not synched properly.

I've seen about 5 mins of previous BEP shows, and they looked pretty much the same. At that's over a year ago, maybe time for new schtick.

Who really cares about half time show anyway, give it up.

Overall, commercials were bit lamer than normal, there's none I felt a burning desire to watch again following day.

The game was pretty decent tho. I thought during 3rd quarter the steelers were just going to take over. They dominated the whole quarter, but couldn't make it count on score board. Great job of Pack rebounding from loss of Woodson, Shields and Driver.
