I have taken nothing from him. I'm trying to convince him it would be for the best if he shared. Sharing is what Good Men do, right?

Don't think of it as me 'not sharing'. It's more like I'm protecting you from unsupervised and potentially dangerous exposure to too much Good Touch.

I'm perfectly fine being unsupervised. I don't need Nanny Led looking out for me.

But now that I think about it, I don't want something Led has used for Good Touch. There probably a better alternative. Something which lights my passion for this quest better than some dingy piece of used leather.

Led has never used these gloves for Good Touch. He lacks the necessary plumbing. And don't think of him as your Nanny. Think of him as your physician, helping you with the Hysteria that's clearly making you so moody.

See that? That would be an internal use of the gloves. But I don't think I'm Sorchat's type. (Also, magic gloves might avoid being destroyed in fire, but my hands are not resistent to fire damage.)

So... I'm confused. You DO want to borrow the gloves, or you don't? Are they dirty leather filthy things, or do you really just want to watch me touching Sorchat? Do you like dirty leather? I guess that's an important starting question. Do you feel like you need to be degraded, is that it?

The fire should purify them. Then they won't be dirty.

Leather is a good material. It's durable and flexible. Feel like degradation? No. Not that my opinion has stopped anyone before.

The last time I stuck someone's hands into a fire, they didn't come back less dirty. If you do it long enough, the fire actually turns the hands into dirt. Or at least soot. That takes a while, though.

If they're anything like a stuffed turkey... I just can't get the image out of my mind.

I mean, the giant hand-sized opening in a plucked and bronzed turkey, with stuffing all jammed up in there, the cook's hand still covered in raw stuffing, and a baster lying there on the table... <shudder>

Now I won't be able to sleep tonight. It's probably better... the nightmares if I did sleep would be worse than just being tired all day tomorrow.
