I just don't feel like registering at Tor. I'll wait another 23 days.

Unless, that is, you copy & paste 10 pages and email it to me.

So... Holy crap. Just drove the 45 minutes home from the B&N that had it at opening. I sat in the store for a few hours reading, and only 60 pages in now. As I've often said, I'm a slow reader. But, sheesh, it's lots of serious characters! Lots that we all know well. Lots of powerful ones. Lots that I can barely remember beyond the name looking very familiar. It'll be good to get back to rereading the series when I'm done with this. Almost done with MoI, so it's still a long way to go.

Should I ask questions here or start a new thread for this book?

First question: last we saw Masan, she was riding away from the Bonehunters, yes? And what was her mission?

Edit: I totally don't remember her being with Imass...

ok...i'm evil, i have to do it. this is an excerpt thread after all...

and its no spoiler so i'm not spoilering. its just that i love the way
the man writes.
Shadowthrone hissed, and then said, 'The best part of you wanders the mortal world, old friend. Long ago, he surrendered that emptiness called pride. At last, I see where it fetched up. Well, it seems one more lesson in humility shall find you.' He glared at the others. 'All of you, in fact.'

Beru, growled. 'You snivelling little upstart...'
But then his voice fell away, for the Lord of Shadows was gone.
