I am under threat from becoming an american comic nerd. SAVE ME.

Oh wait, why would I want to be saved from such a fate? Only out of preference for reality over fantasy, a preference I DO have and am hoping to get back into.

I used to think I knew a lot about comics, null, but it's amazing how many of your all time favorite super heroes I've never heard of.

fist - i prefer the obscure. nothing much can happen with the big guns. (Bats, Supes, X-Men, etc) that hasn't already been told.

Virtually nothing is known about the superhero known as The Green Giant. He does appear to be completely bullet-proof, super strong, and able to stand 15 stories in the air at his tallest. His real surname is Brentwood, but further details were never revealed.

His name has been given variously on websites as Brentwood and Brent Wood.

Bah. A brilliant, innovative story can be written with any character, from the big guns to the brand new. What happened with The Green Giant that has not already been told?

He marketed his own brand of canned vegetables.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

dAN : actually he wasn't involved with that company. and i have read that is why he was cancelled - if he was every published. (i have read different accounts)

public domain characters are out there for the plucking...

fist : i agree some brilliant stories have been told involving the big guns. but they tend to be out-of -continuity stories. and now dc is yet again starting over. the slavish devotion to continuity is not always a good thing.

Hehe. I know this was directed at Fist, but I would like to intercept it and say I don't distinguish between the open and the obscure at this point. It probably bores some people, but it sure as hell excites me!

Before or after Popeye the sailor man??? I <3 spinachhhh. It's tasty and it's good for you. But not the canned variety he sells.

And Bok Choi > all other vegetables.

if these guys had a comic, i would subscribe. plenty of untapped potential.

Wonder Man
Devil-Slayer
Black Goliath
Ethan Edwards
Captain Ultra
Century
Eddie Brock
Atlas
D-Man

Wonder Man, Atlas and Brock are former villains.
D-Man and Captain Ultra need to burnish their damaged reputations.
I've never read anything with Century or Ethan Edwards.

lot's of power, would love to see them take on a new Squadron Sinister.
