What's in your shuffle?

Post by deer of the dawn »

Turn on your mp3 player or open your music app, shuffle your music, and list the first 15 songs that come up.

You can skip one song that would require too much explanation.

(Not sure if this implies that you do as well, but I have found that I greatly enjoy mixing the LOTR soundtrack in with my other music on random-play. Sometimes the juxtopositions can be quite entertaining.)

A 25 min. medley of songs from Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking played live - Roger Waters
Shame Shame Shame - Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Bother recorded live on WAAF - Stone Sour
Freedom Overspill - Steve Winwood
Too Much Rope - Roger Waters
Holiday Inn - Elton John
Resistance - Queensryche
Here Comes the Feeling - Asia
Dazed and Confused - Led Zeppelin (yes, the long one)
Dirty World - The Travelling Wilburys
Still Rainin - Johnny Lang
Face Up - Rush
Down By the River - Neil Young
Blue Light - David Gilmore
Undercover of the Night - Rolling Stones

(Alas, no Howard this time.)

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
