Get sober?Cambo wrote:I had a stout and something labelled as a Tall Blonde, which I believe was a very strong lager. Their basic porter is an awesome value. Their Kentucky Breakfast Stout (a bourbon barrel aged, coffee, oatmeal, imperial stout) is just a thing of wonder. At $24 per 4-pack, I don't buy very many of those.

You really want some Smuttynose or Shipyard Pumpkinhead, I can ship it to you. Or Magic Hat or Harpoon. PM me. I can get beer to the masses.
after the house is fixed and paid for - would love to try the NH brews.

Mmk. Checked on UPS. For 30 lbs. and standard shipping time, it'll be about $40. I'm not sure where you are in Texas, so I used my dad's old zip to get an estimate.
I'm not even sure if a couple of liters of Moxie will be anywhere near 30 lbs. I just did a random number. You can PM me all the info!

This thread deserves resurrection.
Does anyone else do this while drunk? I find I often pick up random objects I come across that come to symbolise the particular night/drunken escapade. For example, this past Friday as we left the flat I picked up a little wrapped Mentos mint off the floor. I was debating dropping it into my beer to see if it would explode. But I decided I'd rather drink my road beer than perform experiments on it, so I threw the mint away as we left the carpark.
Then in the morning as we went to get coffee I saw it lying there and went "That's my mint!"
With approximately the amount of happiness in that smiley. My flatmate didn't get why I was happy to see my mint again.
Anyone else form emotional attachments to drunken souvenirs. Or am I just as much of a weirdo drunk as I am sober?

when i used to drink as a single man i would get my pipe out with some aromatic tobacco (or leafier green stuff) and listen to music while enjoying the buzz. listened to a lot of stuff like screaming trees and dinosaur jr back then.
in fact my pain meds just kicked in while i am listening to dino jr. i miss my pipe.

i lift an imaginary beer to you Cambo! Hail and Well Met!!!!

Whoa, thread necromancy, again.
It's getting common around here. Maybe we're haunted.

I don't have beer in the fridge.
I do, however, have a bottle of amaretto on the kitchen counter....

It would take a stronger stomoch than mine to get drunk on amaretto - one shot is beautiful, two and the sugar begins to cloy, three and it's 'I never want another shot of this as long as I live!'.
