Correct!

New quote:
"My father raised goats."

Your kind of meat

Erm...I haven't a clue.

Still SRD? TC? Gap? If it's Gap, I won't know. Cause I haven't read that...yet.
"Branches spread and tree trunks grow
Through rain and heat and snow and cold:
Though wide world's winds untimely blow,
And earthquakes rock and cliff unseal,

My leaves grow green and seedlings bloom
Since days before the Earth was old
And Time began its walk to doom,
The Forests world's bare rock anneal,

Forbidding dusty waste and death
I am the Land's Creator's hold:
I inhale all expiring breath,
And breath out life to bind and heal.

But ax and fire leave me dead.
I know the hate of hands grown bold.
Depart to save your heart-sap's red:
My hate knows neither rest nor weal."

That can't be from anywhere in the Chrons. I don't ever recall anyone changing their clothes, ever. 8,500 pages, and TC is still wearing that white t-shirt.

sgt, I think you're getting mixed up with, "I can't go in with this HMG. Give me a minute while I change it to a carbine."

...Yep! It isn't from the Chronicles.

Here's a clue.
It's a woman speaking, and she is wearing a bathrobe. From a shortstory.

The short story book was one of the ones I gave away during one of my moves, so I have no guess!

No, it isn't the daughter of regals from daughter of regals, but the daughter of regals is much closer to her name than the other book of tales, Reave the Just and other tales. :faint:

It's Kristen Dona, sister of Reese Dona!
From Unworthy of the Angel!!!

Wow, so glad I saw this.......

I am OBSESSED with that story. :grinlove:

Wouldn't have gotten it w/out that clue, though - thank-you, krazy-kat!
Because I just stereotyped that we'd be looking for a character who is concerned about her appearance.
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."

Yesss, you got it!
(I hadn't even remembered that she said that until I got out the book and was looking for a quote from her!)

Now you go!
