Wow!! great covers "Guest"...thank you for sharing

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~
~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

They're cropped bits of the drawings, to see the whole thing you have to click on the links (some aren't SRD). Some of the links were broken when I first first loaded the page, and then they worked. Go figure.
And I like the cover where Covenant is standing in front of a river of Kool-Ade...or was that Earthblood?
Actually I really do like seeing the different covers...thanks for sharing!

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.

I enjoyed the drawings and likewise the various covers... knowing what I know about geology and such the drawing/cover of Kevin's watch IS awesome but unfortunately unfeasable as it would collapse on itself on the first breeze.
There are formations of stone in southern Utah where some spires tower 700 feet or more into the air but they're extremely fragile and it's generally recommended that folks don't climb on them... but they do.
I can see KW being a tall spire of stone but it is in a way alike a narrow cone so it has stability and the stairs can spiral around to the ground/summit. But again... that's just me.
The rendering of Pitchwife is very good.. makes me re-think my vision of him. Sorta quasi-quasimodo in effect. The size of the rendered Giants are like WHOO.. yes I knew their demisions upon reading but SEEING them puts them and the Dromond into perspective.

He's done an ink drawing of Angus as well.
I like his idea for Angus, though Milos looks altoghether too thin and handsome in the Billingate picture. Holt Fasner looks a lot like I imagined Hashi Lebwohl, strangely.

Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.

I second all of that. Especially about Holt looking like Hashi. Though I imagine Hashi looking more thoughtful. I don't think the evil manic grin suits either Holt or Hashi.Nav wrote:He's done an ink drawing of Angus as well.

Hmmm... yes in the picture she does seem to be sporting what some of us might refer to as "childbearing hips". Not that there's anything wrong with the womanly figure per se, it just doesn't seem to suit Morn. I'd imagine her being a bit more waif-like, especially after the abuse she suffered on Angus' ship. She looks too healthy.birdandbear wrote:
hmm...not to mention a bit less hippy*

Strangely I've always pictured Hshi as an Albert Einstein-lookalike in my mind.

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
