I gave it a shot, but its hopelessly outdated by today's standards.

Lord of the Rings Online is made by the same company, also free, and much more up to date. I'm playing with that to see if I like it more.

Yup yup. I came to the same conclusions. It wasn't great, and it only got tedious. Let me know how LotR is...and I'm still looking for homies on Team Fortress 2 if you're into FPS. :D

I gave up on LotR, as within a half hour of starting I was into the "skip reading quest text, just point me to the targets" mode.

Then, because I've got some days off coming up, I splurged on Skyrim. I don't think I'll be playing online games for a while...

Damn!

Skyrim looks great... :D :D I still can't pick which game to buy for the GF new laptop...i might have to make a thread to help along the decision.
