Sweet. I had a friend who had a Honda Coupe- a miniscule car Honda made in the 70's with a motorcycle engine in it-- and he made a trailer from a second one (the undersized motor tended to blow up; so it was easy to find one to convert). The trailer was like a little pod, but I slept in it for a number of days (it was parked by then) and it was pretty comfortable. He and his wife traveled in it and he said that they sometimes recieved outbreaks of applause from people waiting to cross at intersections and stuff. He had chopped the whole front off and mirrored the shape of the rear with sheet metal, so it was pretty egg-shaped; and painted it to match the car. Here is what the car looked like (not sure of the exact year, and this looks like the upper-end version), you will have to use your imagination as to the trailer.

I loved those peeps who took their Gremlin's and modified them [there was the giant 4x4 jacked up version, and the track version...low air-dammed front, jacked up rear with super-wide slicks].

I really liked those prowler's too...they were pretty much a flop I guess.

That is the vehicle that the TV series Batman was made from.
I don't think that it went much beyond the prototype stage.
Maybe a few hit the streets.

I find odd are Honda(?) "Element" and "The Cube" vehicles.
Have you hugged your arghule today?

I've seen three-wheeled cars in Nigeria and in Amsterdam, but never in the USA (and of course, if you've ever watched Mr Bean). Google "three-wheeled cars" for a chuckle.

smartcar is pretty common, though they cost a lot. This kitty painting style is not common, though.

the Yugo had a rear-window defroster — reportedly to keep your hands warm while you pushed it.

We have seen that car art the Houston Art Car Parade and the Houston Art Car Museum many times. :)

I am hoping Sarge is recovered enough to make this years Art Car parade. We feel that we honor Tom's memory by participating. :)

Heh...that song makes me chuckle. Also funny: when I was in Germany in the Army, early 80's, I noticed a couple american-brand cars that the euro versions looked like a mix of u.s. model versions [ford escort sticks in my head for some reason]

Have we had this conversation before? it seems familiar....
