- I'm always all right.
- Is all right special Time Lord code for really not all right at all?
- You're all irresponsible fools!

I don't usually know what to say about these things, but...
No bombs!
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor
"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"
Glad to hear the good news. (And an example of how what we consider good news has to adapt with the circumstances!) I see nothing but courage when you talk about going to the Church at all.
Scary news about Nigeria in the paper today, about schools being targeted.
How are you doing, Deer?

I'm still here. Getting kinda used to uncertainty and stress.
One major misunderstanding of the Bible is that it promises a great life, going from victory to victory. Ha. Don't know what version those people are reading, but Jesus told Christians to expect trouble, AND that he would be with us in it. So why act all surprised?
I feel more sorry for all the M*slim young people in the North who now have no schools to go to, will never get an education, and have no real hope for a better life. Boko Haram (the name literally means, "books forbidden") wants to keep them poor, uneducated, unhappy, and easily radicalized. They value them as future suicide bombers, not as human beings.
