You are not forgotten, Esmer. Welcome back! Welcome and true.

No one can ever be forgotten, truly. For every being has made sounds and thought thoughts and sung songs and spoken words, has moved and breathed their unique chemical signature into the atmosphere. Earth cannot forget you. Your cells may decompose and those who knew the sound of your voice pass away, but your breaths and words continue to ripple out across the universe. Your eyes reflect starshine that bounces out at a tangent across billions of miles, to light up some dark corner of the galaxy.

What would we do without you? Without your voice, and movements, and your dreams and joys?

More than Earth, and more than the galaxies, the Remember of all things (for it was that Being's eternal plan that included you to begin with) had you in mind before time began, and cannot forget a single heartbeat of your life. And He forgives, yes, he does.

As for us, there is nothing to forgive. Be welcome and true, Esmer.

You're a dear, Deer!

I hope to have some determination and energy to help a relative move all her stuff out of her trailer that had a roof collapse recently, forcing her to have the trailer condemned as soon as she can be moved out. I want to help, but am leery of all the fiberglass insulation showing through the ceiling, as the darned stuff makes me itch. Grant me courage to do the task, please!

Cord! Just saw this. Did you help that relative to move? How did that go?
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

Yes, got her all moved out, and am very grateful that the ceiling collapsed while she was in another room! She's all moved out, and we're working on getting the old place condemned and moved.

Thank you for asking!

I hope to have the energy to go hiking today.

I'm down; I'm stuck. I'm discouraged.

I got back home from the math competition last month, and didn't want to do anything.
I am disappointed with myself because I thought I wasn't going to get overinvested in results, but then when we didn't do super-well, (not super terribly either... just kind of normal) bam! ...I'm unhappy and in a funk.
Or was it that I was burning myself out all school year long?
Or was it that I got sort of addicted to ambition and the thrill of people treating me with respect and paying attention to me, and now that episode is over?

So... I've been feeling sorry for myself.
Also, annoyingly... I think what I see in my heart is -not- that I want to grow, and genuinely know what is the next step I should take...
...no; I just want to feel better NOW.
I want to jump straight to life to be exciting again asap.
It's like all the good things I'm presently enjoying (and there is still a lot of stuff that is very good) are not being valued by me.

P.S. I feel like saying, "Dear God, I would like an exciting new friendship or exciting conversation, or new project or new adventure or new tutoring student or new discovery of an author I'd really like. As You know, I am not good on follow-through with projects, but I do tend to be consistent with tutoring students. Thanks, Linna"

I am the one now in need of forgiveness. To be honest, I didn't have much of blessing or encouragement to give over the past few months. Which is part of why I stayed out of this thread which is unfair seeing as I committed to blessing and encouraging... Anyway, here I am.

So glad the move went well, Cord. Courage and helpfulness are often rewarded in ways we didn't anticipate. No act of kindness is lost. No moment of selfless courage is forgotten.

Knowing linna's irrepressive and buoyant spirit, I trust that already she has bounced back. Linna is a Tigger, not an Eeyore! May your time on the floor help you to have seen things from a new perspective, so that when you are again bouncing off the ceiling, you appreciate how much you have grown!
