I've been on a jazz kick the last couple of days. Listening to Chet Baker's Old Devil Moon.

Broken China, by Rick Wright--almost as good as Roger Waters' Amused to Death. Definitely my two favorite Floyd solo albums, any way you slice it.

Do you listen to any Charles Mingus, Damelon? I like my jazz to be schizophrenic and improvisational, rather than smooth and melodic. Then again, Mingus wrote "Duke Ellington's Sound Of Love," which was definitely the latter.

You should try to listen some time to to the second movement of Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto: Andante con moto. 8)

I'm still in jazz mode. I've been listening to Sirius' Jazz channel all morning.

Paul McCartney - Midnight Special

this is, of course, a Leadbelly song. and Leadbelly did spend time in Sugarland, at what is now called the Central Unit. I have been there, but only on grounds. :(

The band I used to try to cover, singing my favourite song by them, mainly because I swear to god they say, "make sure the girl's 18."

Man, I wish they would tour around here sometime. If I couldn't get the time off from work I would quit.
