I heard Abomination isn't going to be called Abomination because the name is 'too silly'. Not sure where the rumour came from though.

I don't care what you call him, or who you get to play him; I'm still gonna kick his ass! Oh, and good call getting me Liv Tyler; I can't wait for our wedding night!

Look. It doesn't matter who you put up against the Hulk (unless it's Galactus or someone of that kind of cosmic ilk) as Hulk gets madder Hulk gets stronger. You can't try to punch out the Hulk without at the same time pissing him off. Abomination is going down but it'll be fun to watch none the less. :-)

Oh yes, fun. I always enjoy pounding the living snot out of him!

Finally got round to watching the more recent of these two Hulk films. It was good. Better than the first, easily. The first still has two things going for it though: 1) Jennifer Connelly is better than Liv Tyler; 2) I can't think of anyone who I've seen portray unsuppressable rage as convincingly as Eric Bana.

The Hulk

This movie review is about The Incredible Hulk (the 2008 version). I'm not big on superhero movies, but I at least have three that I like in my collection (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Iron Man, and The Dark Knight). The plot of this Hulk movie is kind of thin at first. It involves the scientist Bruce Bannor (Edward Norton) looking to reverse the accident that doused him with too much Gamma radiation, which makes him involuntarily turn into the Hulk when angry or otherwise overly excited. Banner is searching for his love Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) while trying to avoid being captured by military forces under control by Betty's father General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt). Hulk is a CGI character who smashes a lot of stuff while under attack, but at least there's bunches of blood and gore.

As if the writers sensed the plot is kind of thin, they introduce the complication of one of General Ross' soldiers, Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) craving and eventually obtaining the transformative power of Gamma radiation to turn himself into supervillain The Abomination, whom Hulk naturally must fight. The acting from Norton, Tyler, and Hurt is all good, and that from Roth is tolerable. The ending fight goes on a bit too long for me, but this is an okay movie, with moments of unexpected humor. I liked this version of The Incredible Hulk, mostly.

I enjoyed Norton in this movie but they recast him after this.

Loved Roth before he became the Abomination. Wish they had gone further in that direction. Used him as a super soldier and not as another monster.
