I'd like to nominate Cameraman Jenn, not only for her posts, but also for her offline generosity.

I'd like to nominate Sgt Null, for his willingness to share his wonderful taste in music with the rest of us.

The world would be a much better place if everyone shared his taste!

Edit: tho the b*st*rd's a bit slow in replying to stuff.....

I'd like to second Menolly and Sarge...if I can. Love 'em both, so I do.

You can nominate once and second once, in each category. Or so I understand the rules.

That's what's been going on, but that's really not how it should be done, especially when seats are limited. Each person should nominate, second, or pass (stay quiet).
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Thanks for the nom Cag and for the second Ali. There are many many watchers whose generosity went forth in the past year in helping make memories for others. And there are things which belong with owners who will appreciate them for the things they are Cag. I was merely a tiny catalyst. I second Danlo for moderating without dominating, for hosting Elohimfest and being a generally wonderful man. I also hope that Lady Tam knows when I second I am including his wise choice of wife of whom helps him to be everything he can be. For anyone who hasn't met them IRL, they rock.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Which is why I view the Watcher of the Year category as basically meaningless, an inane thing which stirs unnecessary arguing (yeah, I know, people love to argue). *shrugs*

This category isn't for arguing. From the slapping, it's clearly for abuse!

[edit] Maybe we should just make the Computer Watcher of the Year. :P

I don't think there should be a best Watcher award. Maybe a Life time achievment thing instead. I reckon Null should get something cos dammit, the bloke just keeps coming back for more!! He definately makes this place interesting. Good on him! :)
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

honestly thats a great idea.

Avatar, Vain, Variol Son, DlbPharmd, Danlo, Syl, Xar, LuciMay, to name just a few that deserve that IMHO. And there are many more I am sure I can't bring to mind just now. Its just so hard to pick one.

I think instead of watcher of the year we should choose a top 10 or something. -- have poeple name a top ten list and the most common get the award. VS -- you listening?

...err and end up with people thinking "hey, why am I #10 of 10 instead of number #5". ;)

I think it's important to our community to point out to it's members the type of behavior we find most desirable, and acceptable  , and to share our feelings of gratitude and give reward to the one who has affected us most deeply and emulated the epitome of what we aspire to achieve as Watchers?
