None of you are being discriminating enough, nor examining the fundamental truth of your dogma [and we are all dogmatic]
When x is closely examined, you will discover that it is not anything, it is meaningless in itself. It is simply a subjective, unexamined worldview imposed by the modern worlds lack of intelligent philosophies. It is clear to anyone who could be bothered to peruse the entire history of language, oral cavities and musculature, and phonetics that x is merely a distortion of

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Obviously..you, just like everyone else has not read Dr Suess' ABC book.
Sure you may have seen it on a bookshelf; or talked to people who have read it, or claim to have read it I should say. But like most people, you claim to have intimate knowledge that the good Dr himself didn't have. How very arrogant of you.
Allow me to quote it once more:
It just doesn't work.
x is here for a reason...it goes much much deeper than foxes, but you can always start there.

Try spelling fox as foks.....it also comes in handy spelling ax and extra fox.

I didn't want to bring up x's relationship to 0 but if I must I must.
I'm sure Rob will have some sort of grand argument that he thinks will rip what I'm going to say to shreds...but thats only because he has failed to see the light and magic of x; and I feel sorry for him.
0 is the opposite of X.
No one can argue that. Its right there in the world's oldest and most endearing game: tic tac toe.
What does 0 represent? Nothing. Void. Absence.
THerefore it is easy to see that x is everything. X is th opposite of 0; x is the opposite of nothing; x IS everything.
What number does x represent, while we are on the topic of numbers?
Ten.
How many fingers do you hold up to show the number ten? ALL of them!
What is the basis for the entire world's numerical systems? Ten. X.
And lets get back on this whole, X can just be KS claptrap.
Look at the letters you are comparing it to...K and S.
And you say that x is un-needed? Both K and S can be substituted by the letter C.
What number does C represent? One Hundred...or TEN TEN's!!! X sqared!!!
So in using this argument saying that x is nothing but a rip of ks...one should look and see what ks really represent...they represent x squared.
Thus the magic of x is prevailed once more.

You know what, Drew, if you're not even going to take a moment to acknowledge what the great alphabet experts already know, I don't see how we can even begin to discuss the topic at hand. Let me post it again in case you missed it. When you've gone through it then we'll have some common ground to start from.

But then, I would expect nothing less from someone as blinded by extravagance and moral terpitude as you seem to be. What is the word for acknowledgement? For acceptance?
Yes.
What does Yes begin with? That's right. A Y. Those of us willing to accept that truth, to believe in what these other great experts have already discovered for themselves, will stand behind Y.
You nonbelievers can continue to pine away in the hopes that one day X will be granted the same status in the Grand Scheme of Alphabetica.

This is a horrible article, it is rife with spelling errors, and who did his research, Regis?rdhopeca's link wrote:orijinated as the Foenician letter samech, which has been translated as prop, support, post or a fish. X was related to the Greeke xei, witch sounded like "ks". The Romins adopted the Greeke xei but used the form of the Greeke chi. X was the last letter of the Romin alfabet until around 50 AD. Several authorities — Ben Jonson among them — consider X to be a less than lejitimate letter because the ks would replaced its sound so easily. Though X is the least used letter in Engrish, its a well nown cymbol of Christ (Xmas), was used as a signature by illiterate people throughout history, and has always “marked the spot”.
This is the best article you could come up to show that you feel x is somehow not the most enlightened letter?
It does say that X is used in Xmas, or Christmas; but it doesn't even say why?
Its because X, or chi in Greek MEANS christ, which translates into messiah.
And I'm sorry... X as always
Though, I agree that it indeed ALWAYS marks the spot, as it is the most profound letter, it just proves that this author is kind of an idiot.marked the spot
I need not discuss my (correct) feeling towards saying how x can be replaced by ks...I've already talked about it, and I can only assume that you didn't read it, or you would have changed our mind already.
And who is this Ben Johnson that the author cites? The Olympic hero? What does HE have to do with the alphabet?

well...Lennon DID read a book of Marks.
Or was it Lenin reading a book of Marx?
Getting back on topic.
X accepts athiests, because, as I've stated before, x is EVERYTHING.
Look at your hands...both of them...all your little piggies.
All your fingers.
All you can count.

You can count on X.
X is All you can count on.
