It's hard to see yourself as others do...I guess I'm a little of the Dire Boar, I really couldn't see myself definitively anywhere.

And, Murrin, this thread doesn't suck!

Superb post, Murrin! Very enlightening. I think this is a perfect complement to Nav's earlier 'Webboard Theory' thread.

I see myself as Phosphorescent Fungi and Commoner: I seem to hang around the Watch more often than not, but I only post if I feel I have a competent answer to submit, and I generally avoid 'flame wars' like the plague.

Caer Sylvanus, I think you truly are a Wizened Sage. My impression is that you don't get easily riled, you keep your cool. You've been the voice of reason in some intense discussions I've seen.

Dromond, you've got some Dire Boar in you? Maybe we all do. I see you as a Veteran. Caer Sylvanus is one, too. That's a fact, not opinion: you two have been here at the Watch long before the likes of me, so I naturally defer to you both.

There's nothing about a cynical misanthrope who is actually a closet optimist that does offbeat, snide remarks on the side, so I'm guessing they left my creature out.

I would say that you and Dromond are both veterans. :) And I would agree about Syl being a sage. :)

Great topic Murrin! 8) :)

You're a Ravid, my dear :P

Plus, you're a mod, so you have to be an Archangel, by definition 8)

Ooooh... being a ravid and an archangel sounds a lot better than being a commoner :D

A rabid ravid archangel leper fairy? Any more conceptually daring and my brain may explode.

Hmm...Turiya Foul might enjoy that spectacle. You're not an idiot! Don't curse yourself like that.

Oh, wait, you're a Raver. Sorry, you're already cursed. Or accursed... :)

Oh! A veteran, eh? Hmm.... I'm also a mod, but not here....

CovJr, those who know you have no need of your pants? What about those who do not know you??? You'll have to carry spare pants!

And Matrixman, I would enjoy that. I'm accursed, I think. :)

Haha...that came about because I was playing the Pants Game with TCTC, inserting the word "pants" into random excerpts from the books (it's even funnier if you live in a country like the UK or Oz, where pants are underwear rather than trousers :P ). My favourite one so far is "the Collossus of the Pants" 8O

Reread this old thread and it made me laugh, so... *bump*
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

The Wandering Monster Table remains one of the best things I've read at KW. It still seems frighteningly accurate to me.
