No duchess I don't live exactly near J-bo...rarely even go there...Never heard of those places, though I've probably been there on extensive road trips 8) I live in central Ar, always, though the town changes sometimes....

My name is John. I live in a small suburb of Chicago, near the Wisconsin border, about 60 miles from downtown. I work for the state, where I work with business and local government on job creation. (Actually, my area of the state will be doing very well later this year if all the activity I've seen the last 4 months pans out - and it's not war related.)

I'll be 41 in July. On my 7th birthday, I remember staring up at the Moon while standing in my backyard. That was the evening Armstrong and Aldrin walked on the Moon.

Physically, when I had less grey in my hair, I was compared to John Candy. I'm not as broad in the shoulders, and I'm taller than him (6' 2"). I had a friend once say that my voice sounded like Jimmy Stewart's. :? I have a pretty positive disposition, and I think that if you asked people about me, they would my remember my laugh, which is loud and distinctive. More than one person has told me that they could tell if I was in a crowded room by my laugh. :) For all that though I'm rather more the listener in a conversation than the talker. I forget jokes 5 minutes after I'm told them. :)

That is enough, I think, for now. :D

Heh. Well, I guess I can tell a little about myself. Let's see. Well, I'm Jay Resop. I'll be 21 in a couple days. I'm a college student, studying Environmental Engineering and Computer Science. I live in the Washington D.C. area, which is where I grew up for the most part. I'm a pretty Moderate thinker. I'm also a huge introvert. I stink at the whole "social" thing. Heh. Although I like making jokes and getting people to laugh. I'm not what you would call a huge reader, but I read enough. Donaldon is probably my favorite author. I enjoy playing video games, mainly classic Nintendo series games and Squaresoft games. And I guess that's about it. Oh, and I've never had a girlfriend. Why, I have no idea. Hehe. I'm not even much of a nerd, I'm just quiet. I'm just a loser I guess. |H -jay

Ok, here it goes! I am Beverly McLenithan (try to pronounce that!) and I am 38 years old. I am on my second marriage to a man 10 years my junior (yeah - I still got it goin' on! 8) ). I have two children: Steven 12 and Claire 10. I own my own housecleaning service and I attend college full time to get my teaching credential. I am an avid reader but not creative enough to be a writer. I collect fashion dolls i.e., Gene Marshall, Barbie, Tyler, Syndey. I am a very outgoing person - some may even call me aggressive - and I love people. My biggest passion is anything that concerns ancient Rome during the time of Julius Caesar. Our plans for retirement are to spend six months living in Rome or Tuscany and spending the other six months following the Pittsburgh Steelers from game to game all over the country.

Aha! I knew it! You do look like your avatar Caamora and your living in California seducing unsuspecting, naive young men!!! Good for you!!! 8)
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Thanks, Brinn! I may have looked like that a few years ago. Not anymore, sad to say. Mother Nature has a way of being unforgiving.

I'm from Germany, real name's Torsten, 25 on April 13... If things had gone as they should have, I'd be in university, but thanks to an illness I had to drop out of school a few months before graduating. Same reason kept me from doing anything else for some years, then I started training at a newspaper publisher, but had to drop out again last year, for the same damn reason again. So at the moment I'm back to nothing, trying to get fit enough to start training again in September. Dream job would be just writing and getting paid for it.
Meanwhile I do a bit freelance writing for an anime/manga magazine. A/M's one of my main interests, next to soccer (or football, however you might call it), the usual reading, music (only listening), internet.

Used to write short stories and poems, some can be found in the Hall of Gifts, but stopped some years ago. Just not good enough, my stuff. Still scribble a lot of notes, though, just lines for poems which never get finished, and such.

Physically: a bit shorter than 6 feet (too lazy to calculate the conversion now), not fit, very short brown hair, gray-green-blue eyes behind glasses.

What else? Single, don't have a TV and don't need/want one, which tends to irritate people, no pets cause apartement is too small.

That's about it, I guess.

Okay, here goes.

My real name is David Blue, although at work I introduce myself as David MacDowell, my middle name. "Blue" sounds too much like a porn star (just imagine if my first name was Rod!!! 8O ) And if ever I had children, the legal procedures to change my last name would begin immediately. No way any child of mine would have to put up with being "Little Boy Blue." The way folks name their children amaze me sometimes. For example--why would anyone name their daughter Barbara Jane???????

I turned 43 last December, which makes me a Sagitarius born in the year of the Boar. Make of that what you will. My twin and I are fraternal, but of the rarest kind. We were born on the same day but I am a month premature (I was a breach and had the "caul"). Alas, Bert (my brother) is in very poor health, with (among other things) diabetes and chronic back pain. Yet he makes a good living playing the bagpipes!

Right now I live in Los Angeles, upstairs from my fiancee, Colleen (stars in my night, shade in my desert). We haven't set a date yet, but plan on honeymooning aboard the Queen Mary. One of our plans is to find a good place to "haunt" after our deaths.

I'm working right now at raising money for non-profit organizations by phone. *sigh* Really, its not that bad. We don't take a percentage, have a policy of never ever lying to anyone on the phone, and generally we work for good causes (although at least one of our clients does have some pretty icky members--like wanting the KKK to run things--but the client itself doesn't advocate anything like that). Yet it is exhausting and I'm looking for another job.

My hope is to make a living writing. As some of you know, I've started on an epic fantasy series, titled Seasons of the Seagriff. Also in mind--a space opera about a pair of sisters, and a vampire concept that looks promising. Vampires, space opera and epic fantasy are three of my loves. LOTR, Earthsea, SOIAF, Flat Earth and the Dark Tower are among my faves. So too are Anne Rice, Buffy, Forever Knight, etc.

Wow, I really come across as some kind of loser don't I?? [/b][/u]

I don't understand the name thing. Maybe because I don't have much experience with porn stars, maybe cause I'm no english native... Blue only makes me think of sad (and the color of course)...

Fear not, Myrrha. You are not alone on the computer illiteracy! I'm not very good, either!
