Hi guys this is my first posting on the website. My name is Daniel McHugh and i'm 21 years old from Blackburn Lancashire. My father introduced me to SRD and TC when i was about 13 and since then i have read all the TC books numerous times plus a couple of the gap books.

I live in South Wales, UK between the sea and the mountains so it gets pretty wet around here but also there is some stunning scenery.

hi, my name is actually just joe and i'll be 22 pretty soon.tried the college thing but i prefer being outside and my real passion has always been carpentry anyway. i am now a plasterer to pay the bills but am trying to start my own chippy business and i have sold over 50 luxury childrens rocking horses in the last year.
i was born in melbourne australia but my family moved to hobart when i was very young.my mother is english and i spend a few weeks in london in the new year most years.i unashamedly love my island and i despise some of the jokes told about certain elements of tasmania's past.my girlfriend and i have recently had a bueatiful baby boy which has lead to me waking up insanely early and using this great site to while away the small hours before work.i am aware that my postings have been prolific and i am probably setting some sort of record but playing those games has strange relaxing effect on me.
love the outdoors and travelling and would recomend fiji and backpacking around australia in particular the Northern Territories.i also spend too much time surfing and playing sport.
i was introduced to the tommy c chrons about 5-6 years ago and finished all 6 books and gilden fire within 6 months and then moved onto the gap series.cant wait for the next book and thats about me....

Well, no problem. Let's see... I may be the only Italian here on KW, my name is Pier Giorgio and - although I was born and grew up in Italy - at the moment I'm pursuing my Ph.D. in Germany. I'm almost 26 (less than one month to go...), and I really hope I'll get my Ph.D. by the time I'm 28. Oh, by the way, I'm a molecular biologist and I'm taking a Ph.D. on neurobiology. If I survive the Ph.D., I have vague plans of moving to the States or to Australia for a post-doc - but that's still 2 1/2 years away, so it's very much speculative.
Apparently, I'm also the only scientist I know of who not only likes science, but also has other interests apart from it: over here, it appears that's enough to make you look like an alien or a nerd. But so it happens that I love reading, writing, drawing and roleplaying just as much as I do science. A consequence of this is that I'm probably the only person around this town who can relate with scientists AND people studying other topics
Lately I've taken up a new and rewarding hobby, which also has the added benefit of making people's eye pop when I tell them about it: world building! I find it a tremendously rewarding exercise in creativity, and it also gives me the chance to learn much about real-world cultures, religions, history, and customs. Plus, I use the world as a setting for my stories, and maybe someday I'll publish them.
I have more than a passing interest in mythology and religions, as well; being Italian (and from Rome, on top of it) I've been properly drilled in Greek-Roman mythology, and Egyptian mythology was something I loved since I was a little boy, but now I'm branching out into other ancient and mostly overlooked religions (such as Zoroastrianism and Manicheanism) as well as current religions we Westerners don't usually know much about (such as Hinduism and Buddhism). I figure that such studies not only help in keeping an open mind, but also allow me to think in new ways and to see philosophical dilemmas from wildly different points of view.
Yes, I love philosophizing and speculating as well (as if it wasn't clear by now ).
