thanks to a hand-crank wench that busted loose
while raising a 30 lb water pump out of a sewage lift-station.
Another 3 inches closer to the spinning handle,

My co-worker bruised his hand really bad also.

The wench was replaced about an hour later.
She musta been something!! :D

Hope your arm is better soon!! My husband was knocked down by a motorcycle on Tuesday and thankfully has just bruises and road rash to show for it. 8( Coulda been much worse.

I am tired. We evaluated next year's entering Kindergartners next year, and I had to collate results, generate a report, etc. Glad to have that out of the way!

Think I may have just messed up my passport application. Went in for the identity interview, during which I was asked about what bank accounts I have, and I realsied after that I have old accounts with NatWest that I never closed and didn't think to mention...

Murrin, as long as you didn't forget to mention a Swiss numbered account, or that condo in the Caymans that you bought with laundered money, you should be fine. ;)

It's not about what you have, it's about what you know. It's an identity check, looking for details identity thieves wouldn't know.

You have to do that to get a passport? 8O Please don't give that idea to the US government.

I think I survived this week, but it's sort of difficult to tell for sure. I'm so tired that everything is a bit surreal. Think I'm getting sick, though it's probably just stress.

I definitely survived the week. It started with an almost meltdown and by the end it got pretty good. Although I am tired as heck.

Start back at work today after 2 weeks off. My nerves are ragged. I've done little or nothing positive with my time off and I'm dreading the next eight hours with an intensity that makes the back of my eyelids sweat. Situation normal so everything must be ok :D.

Funny, I've come to think of "doing little" with my time off as a positive thing :D
But I do know how you feel and I hope your return to work is bearable.

found out i have Sunday off as well. I plan on spending my time off reading (i have stacks of books) and writing.

i iwll of course appreciate any free comic books people want to send. :) stacks of dc and marvels. heck i will take centaur, atlas, timely, valient, dark horse, image, ac, archie, gold key, all-american, harvey, big bang, fawcett, charlton or anything else. :)

on a serious note - julie is amazing. she will have to do even more than she already does. i owe that woman a cruise. or at least a trip to las vegas.

I'm tired.
Spoiler
Had an accident on the interstate on my way to work Friday. It was bumper to bumper stop and go traffic, so low speed, but the bumpers were at different heights, so my radiator got punctured, headlights and and fender smashed. No injuries, but my knee was bothering me all day yesterday. It's better tonight, still a little achy, and I'm having a delayed nervous reaction about the crash. (I was really calm at the scene.) Just glad it wasn't serious.

And I'm still dealing with problems relating to the sale of my mother's house.

we want to do that. it has to be the next trip. Julie deserves it. I only wish it was the Osmond family playing. :)

this weekend has been really good. we had strayed from Church and everyone was so happy to see us. we are back. :) the new priest seems really nice. and confession needs to happen for me more than once a year.

it really felt right - and Mass today, with the annointing of the sick for me afterwards.

AND means AND. Don't believe me? Google it. I spent the whole day trying to figure out what AND means. Stressed myself out. Cried a little even. But AND means AND. I wish I could quit playing Tetris.

I hate it so bad. But I can't stop. I have to do good on it. But I can't. I thought making a Tetris training tool could help. But I couldn't figure out what AND means.

Turns out, AND means AND.

I asked a very knowledgeable person, "What does AND mean? And don't tell me that AND means AND."

He just shrugged, and said, "AND in 6502 is a bitwise AND of the operand."

I screamed.

I'm sorry Shuram.
I don't get it but this does not sound good...
Sounds like you're stuck in a rut and nothing will do but to be "perfect" at a skill you're banging your head against the wall over?
Or maybe it's not a wall but a ceiling.
and maybe it's a temporary ceiling but it doesn't look like one.

I don't understand the deal about "and," though... explain?
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
