Well, it's a generalisation at least. But I think his point was that it's not as easy as the idealised "dream" would have one believe, and that many obstacles lie in the way. Although I agree that it is possible, I don't think everybody is always able to leave that context behind. But the "dream" suggests that they should easily be able to.
He's bigger than believing in one political point of view as far as I've heard.
Definitely agree. Some interesting stuff, and a good, if unusual, sense of humour.
