I knew she was asking about the Edgetar, but I figured I'd let Av speak for himself. ;)

DotD, a Watcher named Edge (who has been MIA for lo, these many moons :( ) who has mad graphic arts skills took it upon himself to design avatars for anyone who asked for one. Av's current avatar is an Edgetar, as is mine. And Fist's, I see. A whole lot of people had 'em.

Jay then got silly and designed his own Jaytars for a few folks. MsMary's is a Jaytar.

Didn't somebody else make avatars, too? Or am I thinking of something else?

Yours are lovely. :) But I was thinking about the old, storied days of the Watch, back when Edge and Jay had dueling avatar-creation battles. Good times, good times.

There were Foultars, but I think mostly just for Foul himself.

It's also worth noting that Edge's avatars are the reason the average avatar size on this site is much bigger than most forums you visit. He made them all 150x200 - the limits on uploaded avs had to be increased to accommodate them!

True, but linked images for avatars, when the option was available, could be bigger. I remember one, but not whose, that was at least 200x200 (IIRC, white background and some kind of well-drawn symbol of a brownish-brassish color... a beer stein? Sorry, my visual memory ain't all that great).
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

My avatar was done for me by Hue of Bone...another artist of the Watch who has been absent for a while.

I love your avatars. Didn't know you'd made them.

I've made all of mine, except for the King Kaleva one... Could probably take commissions of Frostards, but they'd have to commence as much larger images and then be re-evaluated after the downscaling by the commissioner. :P Bad eyesight.

Already two people ready to make avatars, may the "old days" somewhat return?

And I've made mine as well, though that's not much. I can also make avatars, how may such a thing get called? Efftar? Effatar? Effintar? Though may end up as half-assatar anyway)

Funny what this thread is turning into)

Tommy DeVito: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little fucked up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to fuckin' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?
Henry Hill: Just... you know, how you tell the story, what?
Tommy DeVito: No, no, I don't know, you said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny. How the fuck am I funny, what the fuck is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what's funny!
Henry Hill: [long pause] Get the fuck out of here, Tommy!
Tommy DeVito: [everyone laughs] Ya motherfucker! I almost had him, I almost had him. Ya stuttering prick ya. Frankie, was he shaking? I wonder about you sometimes, Henry. You may fold under questioning.
