Some things are better left to the inner soul. I was just letting my selfish side show a little bit there. I want everyone I love to feel the joy I feel in my belief. But, that is not for me to decide. :D Where I find joy, others find it elsewhere. :D

But, the thought of Isaiah, and Stephen for that matter, just not existing anymore, turning to dust and nothing more..... ah my heart :( I could not handle that at all...
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

Oh, my baby, when you're dying
Believe the healing of His hand
Here in Heaven we will wait for your arrival
Here in Heaven you will finally understand
Here in Heaven we will wait for your arrival
Here in Heaven you will finally understand

Worry not my daughters,
Worry not my sons
Child, when life don't seem worth livin'
Come to Jesus and let Him hold you in His arms..

God bless you, Music Man, play a song for us on Heaven's harps. Peace. :hearts:

It's from a song called "Come to Jesus", by a country singer named Mindy Smith.

I really miss Isaiah :(
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

Thanks. Your mom told me in chat. :)

:( I know how much more you must miss him than any of us here. But, you beautiful person you, at least you can take joy in the fact that you played a BIG part in Isaiah's healing!! He died in love and joy and beauty, rather than in loneliness and anger and horror. You were a part of the most important thing that ever happened to him. Everyone should die as rich as he did. For Isaiah, I thank YOU, as I imagine he did, and as I'm sure he would again and again and again if he could.

Heaven is only a breath away

I miss him, but I know he's with my Uncle. That makes me, all of us, smile. :hearts:

As I was sorting through my MSN Messenger address book yesterday, updating names and deleting now unused contacts, I came across Isaiah's name.

I missed him horribly.

I am living in the country at the moment, and we have cows and chickens and ducks, and best of all, wide open spaces, and so it was easy for me to find a place of my own in the garden and think about ShadowLurker, and how he touched my life.

Ever since I first spoke to Isaiah on MSN, I have marvelled at how someone that I have never met in person, someone who I have only ever had contact (and limited contact at that) with via the Internet, someone who lived, and died, on the other side of the world, could have such a profound influence on my life.

During that time that I spent remembering Isaiah, I cried for myself (it's not like he needs my tears), but I also smiled for him, and for all those that were capitivated, not just with his story, but with the love that he showed regardless of his past. He may not have ever known it was there, and he probably would never have believed anyone who told him of it, but I know in my heart that I felt it more than once during the short time I knew him.

So, for a few minutes of the afternoon, I wrapped myself in that love again and I remembered, and as I did, these words came to mind:
Tracy Chapman wrote:If you think of me
If you miss me once in awhile
Then I'll return to you
I'll return and fill that space in your heart.
Even more than that, I know that, one day, I will get to meet Isaiah, and hopefully Stephen too, face to face. :D
Israel Kamakawiwo Ole wrote:Someday I'll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind, behind me.
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops thats where, you'll find me.
Farewell, for now, Isaiah ShadowLurker. Although in this world death may have claimed you, still the beauty of who you were endures - for we will not forget. Be at peace.

ISAIAH...HAIL!

Love you, Luke :hearts:

They were looking for something to read in Isaiah's memory at Los Alamos during Elohimfest. You know, I think they should read what you wrote, because you summed up perfectly how we all felt about him. He graced our lives for such a brief time, but his heart and love left such a lasting print on all of us.

I'm sure he's smiling now :)

Peace :hearts:

Truly, that's a beautiful post, Luke. You've done Isaiah proud. You've shown him that you were listening, and learned the lessons that he was teaching without even trying. Lessons that he was probably not entirely aware he was capable of giving.

Fist, I thought I would post the lyrics to that song you were talking about in chat. And I thought here would be the perfect place to do it. Even tho Isaiah did NOT get the chance to make peace with his parents, thru no fault of his own, he did find the love and acceptance that he starved for...

This is for Isaiah, Stephen and all those who are living with or have passed on from AIDS. Elton John sings this song at the end of every one of his concerts....

The Last Song, music by Elton John and lyrics by Bernie Taupin...

Yesterday you came to lift me up
As light as straw and brittle as a bird
Today I weigh less than a shadow on the wall
Just one more whisper of a voice unheard

Tomorrow leave the windows open
As fear grows please hold me in your arms
Won't you help me if you can to shake this anger
I need your gentle hands to keep me calm

`Cause I never thought I'd lose
I only thought I'd win
I never dreamed I'd feel
This fire beneath my skin
I can't believe you love me
I never thought you'd come
I guess I misjudged love
Between a father and his son

Things we never said come together
The hidden truth no longer haunting me
Tonight we touched on the things that were never spoken
That kind of understanding sets me free

`Cause I never thought I'd lose
I only thought I'd win
I never dreamed I'd feel
This fire beneath my skin
I can't believe you love me
I never thought you'd come
I guess I misjudged love
Between a father and his son

A side note: all proceeds and royalties generated by this song have gone 100% to HIV/AIDS research and relief.
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

Thank you, Tracie. :) Taupin's words are, as usual, SO moving! And for those who haven't heard it, Elton matched them perfectly with his musical setting. Just amazing!

September 7th was the six month marker of Isaiah's passing.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands--Isaiah 55:12 KJV

Peace
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you

I heard this just now on my satellite music station and thought instantly of Isaiah...

"That's What Friends Are For"--Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder

And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you
And if I should ever go away
Well then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
and then if you can remember

Keep smilin'
keep shinin'
Knowing you can always count on me
for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Well you came and opened me
And now there's so much more I see
And so by the way I thank you
And then for the times when we're apart
Well then close your eyes and know
These words are coming from my heart
And then if you can remember

Keep smilin'
keep shinin'
Knowing you can always count on me
for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for...

We are coming up on the 1 year anniversary of his passing. And as Fist said, for such a short time we had with him, the love we received from and gave back to him was so intense, that it will never fade and will be with all of us always.

Rest easy, Isaiah. Keep shining.

"Thank God for you..." :hearts:
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

I'm sorry I didn't make it on here yesterday (March 7, 2005). As you all know, Isaiah passed on one year ago. His radiant spirit now in the hands of the Father. In his memory, I post this poem by Maya Angelou, one of my favorite authors; Isaiah's too...

Touched by An Angel

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love's light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

And this...

...The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom...

Fly high and free, Isaiah!! Caged no more and soaring on the wings of angels. Hail!

:hearts:
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
