One would think there are no fans of SRD east of the Mississippi.

FYI, Steve will NOT be attending the World Fantasy Convention in Saratoga Springs, NY this year (Nov 1 - 4, I think). His UK book tour is just before that, and his travels will not get him back to the US in time for the con.
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

Well, that makes the decision re Saratoga or Atlanta in Nov. easier, I guess. Unless folks have already paid for the con....

Is Atlanta still on? I haven't seen further details in awhile.

Me neither. And now I dunno if I'm gonna be able to go anyhow. I need to go see my mom in greater Chicagoland at the end of October, so my travel funds are getting kind of tight.

A big fan, I am starting on the GAP series now.

  • It probably bears repeating that I don't choose where I go on book tours. My publishers pay the expenses, so they make the decisions. Naturally one hopes that their choice of venues reflects a larger promotional strategy; but one never knows.... <sigh>

I wonder what the strategy is in leaving out everything west of the Rockies...

East of the Rockies, you mean, right?

They did the same thing when Runes was released. Ya gotta wonder what's going on. Do their sales figures show more of a market for fantasy in the western US, or something? Definitely weird....

It's only East of the Rockies if you're in the West. We're in the East, so it's West of the Rockies. :-)

Waydarling, he's only going places that are west of the Rockies no matter what side of them you are on so technically it would be leaving out everything East of the Rockies whether you are in the East or the West.... :P

No, he'll be appearing at the University Bookstore, which is a couple of blocks away from Bellevue Square. This dotard should be there.

Well, it's looks like I can't make it to the release party at B&N in Albuquerque (Jenn! :P ) tomorrow night as Tam has to work and little Hayden's sick. That's too bad...I also wanted to go because I know the Mayor (who's a big SRD fan) will be there too and he's about to run for Domenici's Senate seat. I absolutely loathe Heather Wilson (the frontrunning Republican candidate, and Congressperson) and want to work my ass off for Chavez to defeat her...
fall far and well Pilots!
