I saw Queens of the Stone Age years ago. Got them on a good day - it was a great gig!

“Attended” the “Seattle” stop of the Dreamsonic Tour yesterday, featuring Animals As Leaders, Devon Townsend, and Dream Theater.

Garden update and a walk across to the venue where the Dreamsonic stop is happening.

Found a lovely spot out of the sun with decent sound to enjoy the show.

Dream Theater’s second piece.

Went to a small venue close to Dayton to see a Christian concert with "We the Kingdom", and "Anne Wilson". Both were good but the rocker in my loved the vibe of "We the Kingdom".

Went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd with ZZ-Top on Friday night at Riverbend in Ohio. What a great concert! 5 hours of rocking to celebrate 50 years of Skynyrd. Was up way later than normal but was worth it.

Styx and Foreigner with John Waite... tonight at Riverbend in Cincinnati Ohio!!@

Edit to add. Concert was excellent! Foreigner was good but Styx was rocking. I would have been fine if Styx had played another hour or so.

💯

Was this your first time? I think when I saw them Thanksgiving weekend it was my sixth, possibly seventh, time seeing them.

Enjoy the cycle through the Trilogy. While they tend to tour the same three stories, they change it up enough to remain entertaining.

Oh. My. Stars…
My absolute favorite concert experience was attending seeing The Philip Glass Ensemble play the scores of The Qatsi Trilogy live while the films were shown overhead over the course of three nights. This was in either the late ‘90s or early aughts in Gainesville, FL.

I never thought I would have the opportunity again, but apparently The Philip Glass Ensemble (most likely without Glass on keyboards, due to his age, whereas he was on keyboards when I attended the three shows) is touring Koyaanisqatsi at least, playing the score live along with the film. Of course I’m going to attend!

If the tour comes to your area, I highly recommend trying to go. It’s a breath taking experience.
