Still no FR in my house. Ugh!!! I'll probably end up getting it for Christmas. Don't know if I can wait that long!

Auleliel, your school library may also be on the system. Several of the novels I have checked out via ILLiad have come from university and community college libraries. Talk to someone at the circulation or information desks at your school library. I bet they can get your started either there or at the local library.

Okay, I'll look into that. Thanks for the advice, Menolly.

My pleasure, Auliel. The inter-library loan system is wonderful for reserving hard to find books. And for those all libraries should carry but don't, like SRD's, you are pretty much guaranteed success in getting ahold of them.

My next series on my TBR list after I finally finish FR is Neverness. I have been impressed with Gator Town's selection of books for as small a city as this is, but they do not have a single one of the Neverness novels. ILLiad will be getting a workout from me once I am ready for the series.

Picked up my copy from the library today - hooray, at last.

I might not be around here for a few days.

its a great novel, but not for the casual reader. be prepared. Zindell is nothing if not detailed.

iQ's quite right Neverness looks like a straight forward story...but there are tons of subtle things going on. I hate to make what might be taken as an "offhand" reference, or comparision, but it's kinda like The Empire Strikes Back: the second time I watched it I picked up on a bunch of little things I hadn't noticed before...and my memory's pretty good.

Thanks for the warning, all. As long as I can keep renewing them so I can take my time reading them, I'll be fine.

FR update for EL...

:!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

Finished part one last night. From reading five pages a day to four chapters at one sitting...

...man, did that ever pick up on me...

Posted a little about it in Duchess's casual group read over on the Hangar.

It arrived. I'll start it as soon as I'm finished with the Angela Carter collection I'm currently reading.

My friend got her copy to me before I got a chance to get to the library. I'm halfway through chapter 2. Huzzah!

No FR here. I am planning to order it soon. Don't know how soon I'll have time to read it, though. Too much work!

Greetings...

I was able to resist only as long as it took for my library to get a copy of it. Need I add that I was #1 on the hold list? :)

At the rate you read, by the time you finish FR, AATE will have been out, and I shall have finally convinced my foeman into giving into my hands of his own free will the white wild magic gold.

Again, since the agreement is that I do not have to return it until you come visit, there's no rush, right?

A few chapters in. I noticed a mistake: Reave the Just is not on the list of "Other works by".

The copy I'm reading doesn't have a list of "other works by". Is it just not in the US version?

Yeah, this is the UK version I'm talking about. US edition would be different.

My copy sits on my table, patiently waiting for me to finish my innominate, fomicating re-reading of Runes, of which I am currently on page 90.
