Yeah, it's a tad distracting...

Anyway, I'm finally back into this reread! :D :D:D Enjoying it immensely!!

I'm also 60 pages into BH. I'm reading that at home, and MoI at work. Heh. I skipped right over MT, because the thought of reading it didn't make my blood race. I'll have to get back to it another time.

OK, I'm concentrating on MoI now. It's just too good to go back and forth! :D Just knowing what's coming throughout the book has got me all excited!! :D Only on 300 now, though.

RIGHT?!?!?!?!??!!!??? SOOOOOOOOO many aspects of it that give me too much emotion to put into words. Speaking of which, I just read this line:

Heh. I was just gonna ask some stuff about when the Bridgeburners and Barghast liberate Capustan. Itkovian (And what an extraordinary character he is!!!!! 8O 8O 8O) pulls the Reve trick on Rath'Fener. I wasn't sure about some of the stuff that happens in that scene, but you addressed pretty much all of it here:
kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=515471#515471
Murrin, you are da man! :D

Hey, I want a painting of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the plaza, amidst a dreadful silence, Paran and the others watched as Itkovian slowly settled to his knees. A rotting, lifeless corpse was slumped in his arms. The lone, kneeling figure seemed - to the captain's eyes - to encompass the exhaustion of the world, an image that burned into his mind, and one that he knew would never leave him.
I want that picture of Itkovian when he is on his knees!!!!!!!!!

Itkovian is amazing.

It's been so long since I started my re-read of the series that I couldn't remember which book I left off with. So I randomly picked BH. Pretty sure I finished MT before Fatal Revenant showed up, and anyhow I'm not sure I'm up for another time through

HOLY...!!! I totally forgot about this from my first reading! I just read the scene with the T'lan Imass Second Gathering.
"Olar Ethil," Ay Estos said. "First among the Bonecasters. Eleint, the First Soletaken.
This babe is beyond belief!!! 8O 8O 8O A few hundred thousand year-old T'lan Imass; the greatest Bonecaster; the First Soletaken; and "Elient" makes her that outrageous dragon Kulp hitched a ride with. I knew that dragon was a Bonecaster, but I sorta just assumed it was a dragon all the time. I didn't realize it was a Soletaken. This babe is too powerful, isn't she? If it wasn't for the chains that come with being a T'lan Imass, I imagine she could be some sort of uber-Tyrant if she wanted.

And it gets even better!
Silverfox asked, "What Soletaken shape do you assume, Olar Ethil?"

"When I veer, I am as an undead twin to Tiam, who spawned all dragons."
Too much!!

I need to order a used hc copy. Probably not the whole series, but I'll start with DG and MoI.

Well, I'm done with this reread. On to HoC! :D
The Jaghut child, a girl of but a handful of years, wandered from the wounded warren as if lost, her small hands folded together on her lap in a manner she must have learned from her long-dead mother. A small detail, but it granted her a heart-breaking dignity that started tears in Paran's eyes.
It amazes me how Erikson can be so moving in so damned few words!! 8O

Just wait until Bonehunters. There are some awesome kids in that. Though I don't really know exactly what happens to them...

Yup, I'm at the second to most recent one and I STILL freak out about Whiskeyjack. I don't think I'll get over that.

Spoiler is about someone who isn't dead yet (as far as I am in the books)
Spoiler
If he killes Fiddler I swear to god I'll stop reading the books. And sell them. And never think about them again, except to be mad that he's killed Fiddler. And I'll probably go to one of his signings and punch him. Or at least pout a lot. Probably with the pouting.

I will only allow erikson to live if Fiddler turns into a ghost like the others and appears CONSTANTLY. Even then I will be angry.

Maybe that would be acceptable.

Maybe.

But if I were Erikson, I wouldn't count on it.

You're right, doinking Kruppe is much nastier.
