Peter Jackson options the Temeraire fantasy books!

I just saw that Peter Jackson has optioned the Temeraire fantasy series on the website of Naomi Novik, the author. :o :biggrin: 8)

For those who have not read them, they are some of the funnest and most adventurous fantasy books I have ever read. :D 8)

They are set in the British Aerial Corps (dragon mounted, of course!!) in an alternate Europe during the Napoleanic Wars. They are filled with battles, and globe spanning adventure! :D And the dragons are absolutely delightful - especially Temeraire, the great black dragon who is filled with so much intelligence and such great loyalty to his friends (both dragon and human). 8)

Sadly, Peter Jackson won't be doing The Hobbit, though New Line Cinema is going forward without him.
