I used to really be into FM, but recently I've cooled on them. I certainly respect them for their contribution to music, but I haven't listened to a song of theirs all the way through in over a year.

The blues stuff is good if you like that sort of thing. But Lindsey Buckingham is also a Frickin' genius!!! He created nearly single handedly a sound that is synonymous with the 70's!

I agree, Buckingham is a master.

I guess I'm just burned out on that sound though.

I have a weird thing about Fleetwood Mac.
I love their music on the radio but I never play any of thier CDs.

I'm a pre-Nicks/Buc fan and, for some reason, Bare Trees is my fav CD.

Late '70s, I agree, but if you listen real close he owes alot to Neil Young...

Agree as well, and when I think of all the guitarists that I wish that I sounded like, he's near the top of the list.

Oh, and Stevie Nicks was HOT.

Buckingham a genius?

sorry. can't get behind that one. he wrote a few good songs, played a few one note chorus' but his best contribution to music? he inspired Stevie Nicks. i guess he works as a muse for SOMEbody!!

Buckingham is a very underrated guitar player. His frentic style of picking and strumming makes it sound as though there are at least 2 dudes playing at the same time. In fact, when he left FM in the late 80's it took 2 guitar players to replace him...Rick Vito and some other dude.

While I love the bassist, I've always hated him because he was married to Imageof whom I've always had a mad crush on, and or upon.

when they were on (and not coke addled) they were a great Band. all of the sum parts were put together well. three singers, a fantastic rhythm section. great stuff.
