The Departed

Post by dlbpharmd »

There have been a few posts in the Films of 2006 thread about this movie, but it deserves it's own thread.....

This is, by far, the best movie I've seen this year. Don't let the fact that 2006 so far has been a bad year for movies. The Departed would stand out in any year.

Ordinarily I can't stand Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon but each play their role to perfection. Leonardo DiCaprio is phenomenal.

This is Scorsese at his best (gangster movies.) If you like good movies, see this one.

Yep. A true return to form for Scorsese, even beyond The Aviator. This will be considered one of his classics.

So glad I saw a Scorsese masterpiece in theaters. Ah, at last!

Still waiting to see this, looking forward to it.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Yes. Certainly a good flick. Not predictable (well not for me anyways)
