Who do you think created the best thread in a Steven Donaldson forum?

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I nominate High Lord Tolkien's thread:

Posted: Mon Oct 30, 2006 8:03 pm Post subject: Is anyone disappointed in Runes?

It takes a lot of guts to post a critical thread in a very pro SRD forum! Very though provoking and fair!

I loved RotE , btw!

I'd say that that's probably a post in a TC forum Guns. :D

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

I'd say VS is right.

Don't withdraw it man - just repost in the other thread. It's a good nomination. :D

Here's one for THIS thread that suffices i believe.

Posted: Sun Feb 05, 2006 11:42 am Post subject: How has SRD's writing style affected your own?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I noticed the other day how seldom I use commas when I write (usually emails or work-related notes). Instead I use what I think of as the "SRD-dash" - which you just saw then.

So, has anyone else noticed that the actual structure of their writing is affected by SRD?

Um, the topic title says "Nominations for best post in an SRD forum" yet Syl is asking what the best thread is. Which is it, Syl?

If it is really about threads (and I think that is the case), then I nominate "Fantasy Bedtime Hour" started by Lucimay on Sep 22/06, even though that thread is really just a shameless plug for FBH. But it's fun and it's got lotsa pics. Who needs in-depth discussion when you can just stare vacantly at pics?

Hey, I made like 30 of these threads at once. Heh.

Um, either? Better just make it post, since that covers both.

I'll accept late nominations for this category. Just let me know and I can add it.
