"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

James. Or Darth Revan at the time. He sent me a PM praising a post I made in the gap forum, one of my first ones. It included the following text.
But it was really nice to see this in my inbox immediately on my return, and though I didn't draw serious emotional support or nothing, it was def. helpful. So there's my creds to him.
The irony in this is that the PM was sent May 21 at around 8:40 PM. Judging by my post history, I logged off at around 8:20 PM, and I know that after that I didn't return until August. So by the time I read this I had already left the forum onceGlad to have you here. A lot of newbies post a couple of times, and leave. From what little knowledge I have to go by, that would suck if you chose to be one of them.

you're more advanced than a cockroach,
have you ever tried explaining yourself
to one of them?

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

Consider it seconded.duchess of malfi wrote:How about a group nomination to the whole crews for both of the anthologies? From the selection comittees to the editors to the cover artists to the people who dealt with getting it ready for the publisher? Those folks all deserve nominations - and a huge round of applause from everyone!
