Uh, sorry man...I've cleared this with Lore...because I used the second dvd, you were frozen again...unable to move, and unable to defend yourself.

I specifically asked him to calculate the outcome and give me an advance notification so I could roleplay it, which ever way it came out. I'm afarid with both me and Bravo attacking you, and you frozen as per the dvd rules, therefore unable to carry out any action, you didn't have much chance.

Bah. I'd rather you'd waited before posting it, though. I was still barely started following Jarek.

...And again, how could Jarek have had any idea about Manny?

(Why's everyone out to get me, anyway? I try to make contact with other chars and they all either ignore me or attack me...)

We'd already planned to meet up. There's not many people toting an M-16 around, and they make largish holes. He scribbled the name of his attacker in his own blood on the concrete. I dunno...I assume that what's posted is public knowledge really.

Again, no hard feelings I hope. :D

So, what: your character is a psychic who knows everything that happens in the city even when he's nowhere near?
Heh.

Yeah i'd forgotten about your not being able to post on weekends. It's alright, really. I was just starting to get into it, is all.

Start a new character?

I won't kill him this time, I promise. ;)

Can't start a new one--window for new starters is closed. I'll be in the next game, though. (Is it still intended to be 15 turns long, Lore?)

Okay, I had to roll the combat just to check for any critical attacks/misses, damage - that sort of thing.

As I predicted, Captain Miles is dead.

I'm sorely tempted to close my roleplaying with an "it was all a dream" post.

Promise me one thing: that I'll come back as a zombie and eat those two.

I have to pitch in and say, it did seem unfair and a bit pre-emptive to write the Capt Miles death, even if the rolls had been done, when the turn results weren't in.

Well, I did apologise for the timing, and offer my justification. No events would have changed the outcome.

Fair enough, I can understand mitigating circumstances . . . though I can also understand if Murin would be miffed and/or peeved.

It probably should be down to players to write their own deaths, in my view.

Fair enough. Luckily he doesn't seem to be. :)

Interesting suggestion about players writing their own deaths though...can't decide if it would be right or not.

Well, within reason. Obviously, if they are shot, then they can't say a piano falls on them, but they should have the chance to write their actual 'expiry', before someone commits them to that too far. For instance, some players get annoyed if others take liberties with their character's actions. I only say this because I GM and mod on an online RP site, and I've noticed the stuff which makes players sensitive.

Understandable I suppose. Interesting aspects this RP stuff has.

I agree. If I'm killed, I want to be able to write my last words and dying actions.

Also, I can understand that Murrin might be irritated by this turn of events. Still, it's the chance you take, I guess. Syl seemed none too happy when Miles took Manny out, so maybe it's the old adage "what goes around..." :P

Miles did seem to have bad luck with meeting other characters, but it didn't help that he was locked in a storeroom for ages.
Oh. Bugger.
Locked
