i think ur rite ryzel. wot bugged me bout umbridge is that her rule was so legal. she had everyone by the balls so 2 speak, & it was all done legally, so there was like nuthin they could do about it. it was like the great ministry of magic that used 2 protect harry suddenly turned against him, which of course it had. that & the fact that she wore a pink cardigan & had china cats in her office. evil is no excuse 4 a lack of taste.

What a very scary thought! "Hello, me be Professor Drool Rockworm. You can call me Professor Drool." 8O Now, that would be almost comical. :)

Class: "Well Proffessor, we're listening."
Hermione: "Ooh, I can't wait to try this one!"
Kevin: *grin*

Or what about the Kemper?

Findail even?

Could you imagine if it was Elena? or Linden?

Now, a Raver might actually teach you something.

Doloras and the Ministry remind me of the Starways Congress in Xenocide and those Orson Scott Card books. They do everything so wrong, but there's nothing anyone can do because it's done legally and it's just so frustrating.

Spoiler
Has it occured to anyone that when Sirius died, we didn't actually see the body? I wonder if maybe he's not as dead as everyone thinks he is. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking?

Yeah... I got to thinking about that too. It just has to play in later, right? But Dumbledore was there, wouldn't he know though?

Well, yes, you'd think Dumbledore probably would know, but .....
Spoiler
When Sirius fell through the arch, as far as we know, he wasn't dead. (I mainly believe this because Bellatrix Lestrange doesn't tend to kill people outright, and he still appeared to be conscious when he fell through.) So, what happens if someone crosses through the arch into the world of the dead without actually dying? Maybe no-one's done it before, so Dumbledore's assuming he's dead so as not to give Harry false hope. Or maybe people have gone through before and not come back, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's impossible to come back. You may gather I'm very fond of Sirius, and I really don't want him to be dead.
I just hope it doesn't take her as long to produce the next book.

Just to change the subject for a moment, I thought McGonagall was a very cool character in this book. :D

Pulling a "Weasley"? Is that an offshoot of "pulling a Homer"? Basically, it's when you make a spectacular error that miraculously results in a success.

Well, not precisely. In this case its striking out on your own in a quite spectactular fashion, while telling your boss Image or school or authority figures what they can do with themselves.    8) The Weasley twins are now among my heros!

variol son, I have three hundred or so of the little guys stored on my personal webpage, and when I want to use them I hit the image button (the one that says Img) on the bar above that says message body and I type in the code for the one I want to use. That one I used a couple of post up is the one I call boss:Image

I have found them all over the internet at sites offering them for free, and have downloaded them to my computer (you do that by performing a right click with your mouse). The I upload them to my webpage using the software provided by my internet service (the software and the webpage are both "free", other than the monthly user fee I pay anyway for my email, etc.). If anyone ever wants a list of links to some of the websites I have found with lots of free images, I would be happy to provide one...
