Dito Montiel's directorial debut and autobiographic script of coming of age in the hell-hole that is Astoria, Queens, NY (Jamaica, Queens is even worse believe it or not) in 1984. Very good story, excellent direction, won 2 major Sundance awards, shining reviews, blistering preformances by Chaz Palminteri and the younger actors (including Shia LaBeouf). I need to watch the alternate endings because

the thing that, kinda, ruined this excellent film, for me at least was seeing Eric Roberts as the older Antonio at the very end-if this is flashback after 20 years-then Antonio has aged at least 20 more years than everyone else...
