Hmm. :?

It reminds me a lot of when I was a kid and I had the old school batman action figures. Then when I got older, I bought a new one and it had a new style and armor, etc.. etc... Didnt like it as much.

I think it is great too. Think about it. Batman has the resources and the ability to make his suit do this stuff. Why wouldn't he pack it with as much as possible? Dardevil would if he could!

Also, I ALWAYS hated the fact that Batman couldn't turn his head in prior movies...it made no sense that you'd be able to fight without head mobility!!!!

Judging purely by that picture, I'm not crazy about the new suit either. It looks too "busy" to me. I'm thinking it must be hard to resist the temptation for overly fanciful costume design when you're working on a Batman movie. Please, for the love of humanity, just don't give us another over-the-top Batman & Robin fashion fest...

Of course, if the new movie is good, then I won't be thinking about the suit. :)

Take it easy---I don't think Bale would do this if he wasn't convinced.

Yeah, but Bale isn't in charge of costume design. Not to be a smartass or anything. :P

Dude, the codpieces...

of course, Clooney is supposed to have played that Batman as gay. There certainly is that subtext between Batman & Robin.

A promotional event taking place right now online and at comic-con. Possibly revealing something new for the film (trailer?) at the end of it.

Slightly disappointing: the end was a trailer, but it was just audio over a batman logo animation. Find it here:

(Click the little square above the word "smile". Site is very laggy right now due to high traffic.)

I've never been very keen on the suit of armour style of Batman costume. I liked the relative simplicity of the Batman Begins costume.
