Interesting. Glad Beorn is stretching his palate a bit.

Here, I got Dam-et to stretch his by adding some apple-almond choroses to his oatmeal. Since so much choroses got made at the beginning of the week, I have been looking for ways to get it eaten before it spoils. Good thing we did not also make the raisin-date-walnut choroses!

hmm, my lunch was some leftoer stuffed bell pepper, baked potato w/ butter and sour cream, and some macaroni & cheese

My lunch was two leftover crab napoleons from the batch I made for Dam-sel's last-day-of-school potluck.

Cut two sheets of puff pastry into serving-sized squares, baked them up golden, then split them top and bottom. Mixed cream cheese, surimi (crab is too spendy for this group of elementary teachers), horseradish, pepper, blanched petite peas, chive and slivered almonds. Filled each pastry base-half with the mixture, then topped with the top-half. A sprinkle of paprika, and they are ready.

Even the better part of a day old, they were wonderful...

I bought a can of chopped olives for a burrito topping by mistake (aiming for the sliced olives). I just used up the leftovers by spreading them thick on buttered toast and sprinkling a little garlic powder on top.

Probably would've been better with some feta cheese. But it was tasty anyhow.

the best lunches julie an di ever had were at a vermont farm stand. we would get crackers, cheese, summer sausage, fresh fruits, cider (for me)

they were best in the autumn, cool air and the smell of roasted corn from the pit...

sometimes i miss home terribly.

Yesterday was sooooo tasty - actually ate out at a pizza place with a friend. Buffet coupon... lots of the pizzas had alfredo sauce I think, in place of tomato. Loved it!

today was black-eyed pea soup and a microwaved potato...

I took a piece of bread, spread a thin layer of peanut butter, and then spread a thin layer of jelly over the PB. I cut the crust off, then cut the bread into long strips. Roll up the strips carefully, and voila! P&J maki rolls!

I can never get my son to eat PB&J sandwiches (really), but he ate all of these!

Today's lunch:
Chicken and broccoli in olive oil with fresh garlic, dried parsley, and other seasonings over Dreamfields spaghetti. Planned over salad on top for crunch and freshness. The chicken was breast from the whole roaster I cooked in the Showtime for shabbes.

A baked Red Craig potato [baked in a foil case with olive oil to crisp it up], Philladelphia cheese with chili filling [on top of the butter and balck pepper etc] and baked Bacon rolls for a bit of protein and flavour.

I'm wondering if there is a difference in terms between British and American English here. When I hear "Philadelphia cheese," I think of Kraft Philadelphia cream cheese (which I'll admit is my favorite in block form. Temp-Tee is my favorite soft cream cheese.) Is that what Philadelphia cheese is across the pond, peter?
