A couple of months ago, Joy submitted North Star for the Epic Awards (aka the EPPIEs). They are awarded to e-books for outstanding achievements in e-publishing and writing.

Today I got word from Joy that North Star is a finalist in the Fantasy section!

This is a great Christmas gift... The winners will be announced in March during the EPICon in Portland, so now I'm keeping fingers crossed!

I seriously thought, nobody's parents are cool enough to name them that, it must be a pen name.

And the cooler the pen name the worse the real name must be so that would have put you somewhere around the range of

Of course when you grow up in the US as one of six Jennifers in your school year, four of which are also Jennifer Lynn just as you are, it may skew your view on cool names a bit.

I put that in the Italian to English translator on dictionary.com and it gave me "This is a copy glue but."
