tyrion lannister. :lion:

i've finished a feast for crows. i have met a lot of strange and complex characters before but The Dwarf is going in my "favorite characters of all time" categories.

dAN, how many times can i say thanks.

These books are truly masterworks. I can't wait for the Dance!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. I don't know if you're much up on RPGs, but there has been a D20 Campaign Setting and Rules modifications to Dungeons and Dragons 3rd Edition for the Song of Ice and Fire Series. It's called 'A Game of Thrones,' and is a very, very thick rulebook. However, none of its information is from anything after 'Game of Thrones' the novel. It does have interesting rules, reminiscant of the Birthright system in 2nd Edition AD&D, for Lordships and political subterfuge and such.

Thanks for the heads-up EL. I actually own it! Quality book with great background. I've never played the game but I wanted to have the book as a resource and for the artwork.

That's actually been my primary motivation for wanting to pick it up.

Well worth it, IMHO.

ok...i am now convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that i need to get into D&D. (as if pantheon wasn't enough! ) i feel myself sinking deeper and deeper into self-imposed geekdom.

anyway...back to the topic:

here's a pretty cool website/blog and the entry for the Imp.

Gods Below! I'm going to have to attempt to write "The Very Secret Diaries of the Game of Thrones" now.
Spoiler
Tyrion.

Day 32.

Silly sod Robert's pissed again, as per usual. Believe he suspects Circe's cuckholding him, but knows that she'll have him killed if he says anything.

Suspect Jon Snow might be pervy dwarf fancier. Why is my most desirable attribute always my waist-high height?

Daddy still doesn't love me.

Didn't know they had ASOIAF RPGs. I know that Martin is firmly against fanfiction and presumably RPGs as well. I go to the Westeros boards a lot, and they're to GRRM what Kevin's Watch is to Donaldson, so they prohibit that kind of thing. Didn't know it existed.

Hmm, I might be on the fringe here, but my favorite character is actually the Onion Knight.

Tyrion's pretty cool though.

Yes. I want Sansa.

Spitted.

Roasting.

Over a fire.

A huge fire.

Now, Arya, on the other hand, when she gets older.
