Pantheon: The Third Age PLAYERS Location Map

Post by Menolly »

Xar gave me permission to generate a map just for Pantheon players. This is not a Game map. It is a map for players to show where they are personally located. The KW map has gotten so huge, I felt this would be a little more intimate.

Putting yourself on the map is totally optional. And of course, if you don't want to say who your deity is, that is totally optional as well. But I think it would be really interesting to see where all of the players who have become addicted to this Game hail from.

Pantheon: The Third Age Players Location Map

They changed the way you enter your location from when I created the KW map. A random pin and shoutout appears when you click on "Join." Click on "move this pin" to enter your location. Then click on "Edit this pin" and change the screens to what you want to say.

I hope y'all enjoy.

...and could someone tell me if my full address shows up in my shoutout? I don't know if I'm seeing it because it's my own shoutout or if everyone would see it...

I put mine on. I could only see my own marker, and the map started going buggy when I tried to look around. Now, when I open the map I get a marker saying "Hi Anne!" with "No location", and there are no other markers visible.

Wait--now I loaded it again, I get "Hi Murrin", with someone else's picture and "No location".

Edit: And now I'm Angie, with another different picture!

Same here... I got "Hi Xar" with another guy's face and with the pin placed in the US...

We will have to rename "Murphy's Law" to "O-gon-cho's Law"

I just wish it wasn't so damned frustrating dealing with the frappr support.

...gosh...I do hope the KW Locations Map is still working...

Update:

Frappr support just contacted me via IM. She had heard of the problem, but has never seen it before. I may need to create a new map, but right now I do not know.

Will update again once she figures something out.

Well, either it's my browser and modem, or the frappr map isn't working still. Frappr has been taken over by another site, and the support is taken forever to rectify whatever the problem is.

I decided to attempt making a map on their site. I think y'all can access it at Location Map. Interestingly, it is working with my aol browser, but not with the version of Firefox I'm using.

As far as the title the site is calling it, I can't edit out the "Menolly's", grr...

Sorry about that Xar.

Anyway, let me know if this is working for anyone. Should it not work in Firefox, try IE, as that is what aol's browser is based upon.

Also, I find the best world view in hybrid to be on the third hash mark from the bottom. For some reason, several settings in the middle, particularly the setting the map loads on, doesn't seem to have images. But the map is coming up if you zoom in or out.
