The following song could mean alot of things. It could be about The Allfather, or about Ez, or about the Eclipse as a whole(if you change around a few names) or even the Void itself. Ill leave it up to you to decide.
Unas The Slayer Of Gods by Nile.
Poureth Down Water From the Heavens
Tremble the Stars
Quake the Bones of Aker
Those Beneath Take Flight When They See
Unas Rising
The Akh of Unas Is Behind Him
The Conquerer Are Beneath His Feet
His Gods Are In Him
His Uraei Are on His Brow
The Words of Unas Protect Him
Unas This Bull of The Heavens
ThatTrusteth With His Will
Living On Utterances of Fire From
The Lake Of Flame
Unas That Devoureth Men and Liveth on The Gods
Behold Amkebu Hath Snared Them for Unas
Behold Tecber Tep F Hath Known Them and
Driven Them Unto Unas
Behold Her Tbertu Hath Bound Them
Behold Khensu The Slaughterer of Lords
Hath Cut Their Throats for Unas
Behold Shesemu Hath Cut Them Up For Unas
Unas Hath Ingested Their Spirits
Hath Feasted On Their Immortality
He Hath Consumed their Shadows
Unas The Slayer of the Gods
Unas The Sekhem Great
The Sekhem of the Sekhemn
Unas The Ashem Great
The Ashem of the Ashemn
Behold Orion
Unas Riseth
Unas Hath Taken Possession
of the Hearts of the Gods
Unas Feedeth on their Entrails
He Hath gorged on their Unuttered Sacred Words
He Hath Assimilated the Wisdom of the Gods
His Existence is Everlasting
Behold The Souls of the Gods are in Unas
Their Spirits are In Unas
The Flame of Unas in Their Bones
Their Shadows are With their Forms
Unas is Rising
Hidden Hidden
And heres the actual song. be warned its 11 mins long and is mostly death metal, not everyones taste. But it sure has that epic feel to it if you can bare it.

Now that's more like it! I can't decide which I'd enjoy more: a battle of the bands between Yes and Pink Floyd, or the two of them merging for a jam. A four hour jam...Menolly wrote:To counter, for Amplarx, Bel, Brid, cho, and Unzen...Stonemaybe wrote:And for an Carraig, Deva, Rothmog, Dagon, and Koel, deluded fools....

Toss Genesis in there with Gabriel...
A Prog dream of heaven...

trust me, Yes is best in the world of Prog. Its fact, not opinion
We had this coversation the other night. The conclusion was, Pink Floyd wins.
"For the love of God, Montresor!"
"Yes," I said, "for the love of God!" - Edgar Allan Poe, The Cask of Amontillado.

It would take 20 More Than a Feelings to equal one Us and Them.
But what does Boston's More than a Feeling have to do with Yes or Pink Floyd???
Now, put Us and Them up against Gates of Delirium or Awaken, and you have a contest.
Thankfully, most of Drama doesn't count.Dorian wrote:The conclusion was that are history student should not argue with a musician student, especially one who graduated in the top of his music history class.
So shh. Yes for the win, they never got to a semi prog pop stage like floyd did
Hmm . . . I think the link is Montresor's seriously numbed mind after completing a major report . What I meant to say was Roundabout . . . and, yet, I strangely came out with More Than a Feeling. That I should associate Yes with Boston subconciously says a lot about the quality of the band.Menolly wrote:

But, any Yes song vs well, any Pink Floyd song will leave Yes looking lacklustre. Yes? No.

I will seriously concede that for the songs that received airplay, Pink Floyd will mostly beat Yes. But, Jugband Blues or See-Saw against anything by Yes? Seriously?Montresor wrote:But, any Yes song vs well, any Pink Floyd song will leave Yes looking lacklustre. Yes? No.
Now. I do hereby declare that IMNSHO, nothing, absolutely nothing, beats Echoes...
The road less travelled, my friendDorian wrote: Dont waste your time on him menolly, montresor my good friend, i must say that in this case, you have strayed from the path.
Django's the man.Dorian wrote: Anyway, lets talk about a real musician, does anyone here apart from montresor and myself listen to Django?
The link to Pantheon is obvious - Django is a god.

You're definitely preaching to the choir. Got my tickets for the July 31st show in Tampa. It will be my 6th time seeing Yes in concert live. And one of the previous five times was the 1991 Union tour will all of the members except Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes.
Pink Floyd and Genesis I have only been fortunate to see live once each.

Fair enough. *bows*
Oh yes. He is.
The guy, who was around back from the late 20's onwards, burnt his hand in a fire and could only use two of his fingers on his fret hand. he retaught himself how to play guitar and from there went on to write some of the most amazing gypsy jazz ever.
In fact, he IS gypsy jazz.
Heres a video, bear in mind that most of it, apart from the head, is pure improvisation. watch how fast some of his runs are, with only two fingers! His violinist, Stephan Grippeli, is a legend in his own right. Love it. This isnt his fastest or most technically demanding song, just one of his tasty ones
