Wow. Frankly I don't think thats all that bad. We do nothing to promote the books other than mentioning them as an announcement on this site.
There are usually only 10 writers that contribute so that naturally would account for at least 10 sales.
BTW I've never had the opportunity to buy a book.
The new book features a story by my daughter (Prorider514) so her mother will insist that we purchase a copy come heck or highwater so that will be a first for me. It is not from any lack of interest in the Anthology. My issues are financial only. :-)

Hmm. Well, when Tom makes his order, I was planning on getting a few myself. Of course, that won't really make a dent in the numbers, but...wait. Wait one minute. Aren't the writers buying their own stuff? Sheesh, I know we're our own worst critics, but WTF? I gave copies of the first one away as family christmas presents; why isn't anybody else doing that?

We're not related to any readers?

I *am* a bit surprised that the numbers for 2006 and 2006.5 weren't more equal.

I know I'm at least doubling my order this time 'round, if only so that Batty and I each have a copy. :)

Tom, I didn't know ProRider 514 was your daughter. How did I miss that? (Don't answer that, if your answer is "general cluelessness on ali's part." :D )

Well one thing that is different is the price for A I is a buck and a half less than that of A II.
The only other difference that comes to mind is that my submission wasn't accepted for A II. :-) I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. ;)

No it's not that big of a deal. I really don't talk about my homelife all that much here and ProRider only posts sparingly. She's 16 and owns a new, clean copy of Lord Foul's Bane but still hasn't read it. She feels she doesn't have all that much to say until she becomes initiated into the club by reading at least one S.R.D. story. :-)

I know what you mean -- MagickMaker is 18 and has started LFB twice, I think. She gets past the rape, but bogs down after that -- tho last time she did get as far as meeting Foamfollower before she got distracted by another book. If *he* doesn't hook her to finish the story, I think she may be a lost cause.

I'm pretty sure the lack of the "Sutherland Castle" and "Badger" epics are what stunted sales on Volumes 2 & 2. At least, that's the word on the street.

Well, I'll be buying 7 copies -- It's just a busy time!
