Hilarious typo in ROTE!!!!

Post by Prebe »

In my edition (hardback US edition I think) on page 528 (Glossary) Seareach is explained thusly:
Region of the Land occupied by the Unhorned
:haha:

(You know you've read a book to many times, when you peruse the glossary!)

Edit: Edited to correct hilarious typos in "Seareach" and "Glossary"! Heh!

I think it's actually pretty funny.

Maybe that is why the Land doesn't have any unicorns..

Maybe they lived in the Region of the Land occupied by the Unhorned.

No. I know why the land doesn't have unicorns.

I think that this reference to the "unhorned" refers to the Giant's fidelity. As in, they never cheated on their spouses.

I don't get the comedy of the typo.
Is this some kind of verbal porn for nerds?

Does it show my age (or lack thereof) that I must ask "What's Futurama?"

Not really. The show only lasted a few seasons. A lot of people never saw it. However, it was outstanding. Reruns are on Comedy Central.-jay

Not being much of a TV-watcher, that explains a lot.

Okay, now that I'm no longer confused we may return to the original program. I mean, thread topic.
