The "Who Said That?" Game

Post by Damelon »

Guess who said that. The quotes must come from the First or Second Chronicles. The person who gives the correct answer then posts their own quote.

Here goes:
"He was a peril to us. His dark makers spawned him for our harm. He was an offence....., directed with great skill and malice to coerce us from our path.

That was Chant, talking about Vain in The One Tree, after the Elohim imprisioned him.

Okay, here's mine...had to look for one :)
"Lord, I have done as you requested. Furl's Fire now burns atop Revelstone. All who see it will warn their folk, and will spread the warning of war south and east and north. By morning, all who live north of the Soulease and west of Grimmerdhore will be forwarned, and those who live near the river will send runners into the Center Plains. Beyond that, the warning will carry more slowly..."
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Yeah, I always found this character very eloquent, and sad. Like an amazing person trapped in demeening lifestyle. Keep guessing. I'll give a hint tomorrow.

I know it's obvious, but we can't make things too easy this early on.

Clue #2 - This character is a man. :o

Both wrong I'm afraid. Remember clue #2 Sky. On with the clues.

Clue #3 - This character is NOT a member of the Clave.

Happy hunting.

The reference to 'claim' seems to remind me of the Clave's demands of people for the banefire. Like maybe some bloke in Crystal Stonedown or something.

Or maybe Hamako? Nah someone already guessed it. Okay, my guess is (and this is the techenical definition) "Some bloke from Crystal Stonedown".

?
Do you think I like being this dangerous?
