gun
A stupid little thought. I am too far from my Runes to check. Is it possible that Roger's gun was translated with him into the Land when he was gunned down? Or am I too tired of this day's work and he did not have a gun at all when he took J and Sandy and Joan?
I do not think SRD would ever use such a thing in his writing but it's fun to speculate that Roger one day just shows up and guns a few people down with his remaining bullets:)

True. Anyway it would be vastly incongruous in SRD's world.

Oh, I agree, I was mostly joking... the reasons why Darsint is there, etc all make perfect sense (and are really cool). But by the same token, Roger having a gun is no more of a stretch than Troy's sunglasses, Covenant's pocket knife, or Jeremiah's toy car.

Roger having a Gun... You know, that would possibly be a good way to have Linden with a bullet hole in her chest at the end of this series...
And keeping in line with the previous books I was expecting her to have some kind of wound there at the the end, but was racking my brains to think of what could cause her such damage in the World of the Land.

haha, nice Relayer.
Whenever I think of what could cause bullet wounds I think of how Covenant was murdered in WGW. You'd think some sort of knife and sword would be obvious, but no, hammered down by wild magic! I'm sure it'll be nothing we could expect.
I wonder if Elohim can turn into guns... though a plastic bag seems deadly enough

She looked like a crowned vestal, somehow both powerful and fragile, as if she could shatter his bones with a glance and yet would fall from her seat at the touch of a single hurled handful of mud. She daunted him.

Linden may never translate back, since she's already dead in her home world. TC didn't, and neither did Hile Troy. So she may not have to suffer a wound in the Land that's similar to the one she suffered on earth.

I can't see a reason for it not to happen, but something tells me, we won't see the gun in the Land. And even if we do, Linden does have the staff, and he only has so many bullets, couldn't be anymore devastating than the Demondim.

Did he hold on to it when all the cops started siring? My image of it has taking such a shaking from all the bullets hitting him (not to speak of the wind) that he flings the away at the last moment. So no gun for Roger.
Anyway,
Anyway,
Spoiler
isn't the hand of firepower symbolic of the gun he used in our world?
