Thompson Twins re-released 80's albums with original remixes

Post by Starkin »

Hi All,

Am I the only Thompson Twins fan here on the Watch? Surely not! :)

Anyway, for those that are interested or don't know, Edsel Records has just re-released and remastered two of the Twins best albums: "Quick Step and Side Kick" (1983) and "Into the Gap" (1984) on March 4th with the original remixes that came out in cassette form. Also included are B-sides and little known rarities.

Here's a link. Once there, click on the links to the album info.

This is a dream come true for Thompson Twins fans and 80's music fans alike. I always hoped somebody would do this and do it right, and now somebody finally has. It'll be so great to hear these 80's remix gems in crisp clear CD quality.

Can't wait until I get mine in mail! :D

Starkin, I sincerely hope you are the only TT fan here.

I'm cringing at the memory of them

Cringing, huh? Well, to each his own. I mean, I have moved on musically since the 80's but I still enjoy TT's music. They got me through some pretty rough teenage years. There's something to be said for that I guess.

I was kidding ;)

I'm just a sad old rocker at heart, and would never decry someone's taste in music.

Each to their own is what I say.

The 80's were a blur to me anyway

I wasn't a Thompson Twins fan per se, but I remember their hit songs fondly as a part of my '80s music experience.
