I think we should, but whether or not we will and who it will be is open to discussion.

Anyone interested?

Probably. Considering that the instant one of has the "most endorsements", we're automatically the delegate...

We should be up to 9 soon. :D

And yes, I think we should have a delegate. :D

(BTW, the delegate will not have regional control, I'll keep that to myself as the founder.)

Oh, any suggestions as to our world factbook entry? We should probably get one up.

Nine??

Woo-hoo!

Who all else is joining us? Where else are you promoting the game, Av?
We should hold off on choosing a delegate until then, yes?

World factbook entry...
I probably should go review some others first, huh?

We're up to 12 now. And where do you think I'm promoting it? Where people are interested in politics and social dynamics. :D The 'Tank.

I think we should maybe shift this in there and merge the two threads...not many 'Tankers swing through this place...and the biggest problem of course is that we can't see when a post gets made in here.

You're just forum pushing again; I haven't stepped foot into the 'tank in months. But fine...if you can track Xar down to do it...

...heheheh...

Send me a PM once it's done, or post a link to the appropriate thread, as I probably won't go into the 'tank until then...

The Rogue Nation of Caveral
"Dum Spiro Spero"

Category: Corrupt Dictatorship
Civil Rights: Excellent
Economy:Imploded
Political Freedoms: Few
Location: Andelain

Regional Influence: Vassal

The Rogue Nation of Caveral is a small, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, cynical population of 10 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Law & Order and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 72%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Caveral's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region, the government awards prizes to television shows featuring stereotype-breaking minority roles, public nudity is compulsory, and all industry is owned and run by the government. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Caveral's national animal is the marmot, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the cedar.

Caveral is ranked 6th in the region and 42,375th in the world for Safest Nations.
Strange, I either give businesses the right to pay employees as little as they want or I have to take over the economy entirely.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Hey guys...I see there is an option to reserve your nation for NS2 coming soon apparently.

Have done so, suggest you all do the same. :D

The Issue
As crime rates rise, some in the community are calling for increased policing.

The Debate
"Just the other day, I got mugged in the broad daylight!" says ruffian Chastity Gutenberg. "And the ironic thing is I had just stuck up this other guy. When muggers are getting mugged, even I have to admit that crime has gotten out of control. We do need more police."

"The solution to crime is not more police!" says noted sociologist and occasional crime novelist Alexei Hamilton. "Studies repeatedly show that crime is caused by poverty and poor education. Increase government spending in these areas, and crime will fall! Maybe not overnight, but it will happen."

This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.

"Yeah, good luck with that," says conservative leader and gun enthusiast Pete Falopian. "Look, we do need more police, that's clear. But that's not enough. We need real punishments: sentences that will act as a genuine deterrent to people considering a life of crime. Like public floggings."
It appears my easy hand and lack of prisons has backfired on me  Anyway Im quiet happy that muggers are been mugged by other muggers

I got that one today too - does everyone get the same issues every day?

Unfortunately, the option I wanted wasn't there - deport all criminals! So I settled on the harsher punishments one!

No, the issues are random, as long as your nation qualifies for it. You might however get the same one more than once when you've had all the ones that apply to your rating.
