Weretiger's Curse - The beginning: Introductions

Post by Nathan »

A call for adventurers has gone up from a small rural town called Tethil.

The news has reached you that there is trouble in the area and they need some strong, brave souls to help sort it out. A large reward is mentioned, but the amount is not specified.

Upon hearing this news, you decide to head for Tethil.

Could each of you please PM me with a short backstory explaining why you decide to respond to the call for adventurers and what you have been doing immediately prior to hearing the call.

Its completely up to you what you say as your backstory. Pretty much anything goes.

An example backstory is provided below

Orlen grew up in a tiny farming village in the South. He found life there incredibly boring, but his parents always seemed inexplicably content with their lives!

As soon as he was old enough, his father put him to work on the farm. Orlen grew into a strong young man, and in his free time between sessions of hard physical labour on the farm he read stories. Legends of adventures and excitement, heroes and villians, swords, sorcery, magic and mayhem!

He longed to become the hero in his own legend, so he saved all his meagre pay for two years and ran away from home, travelling to the nearest town large enough to house a properly trained militia. He signed up there and then and paid the sheriff, a veteran of the Eastern army, for extra training on his days off.

After several years of hard work and sterling service to the town militia he found himself surpassing all the other guards easily, and even besting the sheriff in sparring more often than not. He had learned everything the veteran could teach him.

The moment Orlen heard there was a call for adventurers in Tethil, he slung his sword on his back, filled a pack with some adventuring gear and headed off.
