I like it enough to have a forum. I may challenge some people to war if I can whip up some BS rules for it.

I have a suspicion that Inis Rua and the WA wouldn't see eye to eye, but if any of you old heads could give me a quick run-down of pros and cons of joining the WA, I'd be grateful....

The only way that the WA affects your independance is that passed WA resolutions are automatically made law in your country. That's it. (And of course, you can't be a delegate if you're not a member, nor can you endorse delegates or vote on resolutions.)

Click on the WA link to see a list of passed resolutions (which would become law in your nation). there are only 7 or so of them.

Balon, check out the nationstates forums for examples of how countries and regions wage war by RPing.

It was actually aimed at illume. For some reason I read her post as Be well.... come to Andelain instead of the welcome to Andelain message it was meant to be. :D

Had to post this:
Military spending recently hit a new high, the death penalty has been reintroduced, punitive tariffs protect local industry, and Pliss-ken's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region.

The study of medicine is popular throughout VivAsana, hunters have been known to lose limbs while attempting to 'play tag' with their prey, citizens are allowed to rise or fall based on their own merits, and drunk drivers are sentenced to death.

The Dominion of Inis Rua is a small, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 16 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
I'm getting there! I envisaged Inis rua as a benevolent dictatorship, but with criminals/discontents chucked out, rather than flogged in the street!

I think I just got the issue you had a turn or two ago ,Av, about paying for organ donation? Again, a third option would've been better - the state takes what it needs!

Yeah, available options are not always what you'd want. If you reallycan't stomach any option, dismissing the issue has no effect on your nation. But you might get it again later anyway.
